Details
This collection features hand woven Hemp and Linen fabric that were dyed using natural materials derived from leaves and trees. These two materials were chosen because of their kindness to the environment, with minimal use of pesticide and long term sustainability. The collection comprises attractive and functional lifestyle accessories featuring a leaf motif, paying tribute to Earth Day and inspired by the five colours from Banyan Tree Gallery’s Five Elements collection, printed using water-based ink, which has lower impact on the environment.
Eco-conscious Fabrics
Hemp fabric is made from the fibre of one of the fastest growing plants that requires few pesticides and herbicides. It is also known for its durability and comfort. Linen is made from Flax, and the entire plant is utilised, leaving no waste. Flax requires little water and less pesticide than cotton. Linen is also biodegradable and recyclable because it is made from a natural fibre.
